Above is the draft of combo chipset from TI (Texas Instrument) which has several wireless content to your device. Ti’s combo chipset is called the WiLink 7.0, its an integrated chip that carry four wireless technology of Wi-fi, Bluetooth, GPS and FM transmitter. TI WiLink 7.0 has 50% smaller that other chip and also could give 30% more efficient power consumption. This combo wireless chip carry WiFi a/b/g/n, FM transmit/receive, Bluetooth 3.0 and GPS. It could give better wireless connectivity to your mobile devices and also longer lasting to other devices. TI already showed off the WiLink 7.0 combo wireless chip prototype at OEM and probably sent out to market around this end of 2010.
TI explained to us, when you’re using separate components there’s a limit to the amount of interconnectivity between them; if you combine them into one chip, meanwhile, things like power-management and intelligent usage profiles become possible.
