Maybe this information is a little bit late but better know than none. So, if you are iPhone’s addict, for next iPhone production, Imagination has prepare a new GPU special for iPhone device. They has unveiled the PowerVR SGX545 GPU core design at CES 2010 which is spotted as mobile phone GPU with OpenGL 3.2 and DirectX 10 level effects capability. The SGX545 is designed complete with OpenCL system which has function to hired the unused processing cycles on the chip for offload work from the main CPU. The PowerVR SGX545 GPU also can be used as multithreading-aware, it can do an additional speed jump while working with multi-core processor or the ARM Cortex-A9. This GPU is great to installed into iPhone and iPod touch and Apple one of the manufacture who is ready to use the GPU for their next iPhone/iPod.
